The Vessev spirit
At Vessev, you're empowered to seize opportunities and make them your own. It's hard work, but that's what makes it worth doing. We're inspired by each other and want to create something we're all insanely proud of.

Clancy McColl – Special Projects Engineer
I’ve spent most of my career building custom electronic hardware, across a range of industries including defense, consumer IoT, and subsea autonomous vehicles. I’ve always been drawn to the sea. Sailing has been a big part of my life and I’ve spent many years competing in high-level environments.
Vessev brings my two passions together. I’m able to push my knowledge further, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to innovations that protect the ocean I love.

Steph Corkery – Production Engineer
I grew up windsurfing on the Waitematā Harbour and have always loved being around the ocean. As a mechanical engineer, I’ve worked across product development, production design, and project management.
Here at Vessev, I smooth processes and refine designs for manufacturing, helping the team get great ideas off the page and into reality. Being able to apply my skills in a space so closely tied to the water feels especially meaningful.

Josh Telford – Lead Boatbuilder
I was brought up in Rotorua on the lakes, fishing and wakeboarding, and have been a boat builder for 24 years. I’ve worked on race yachts, and for three America’s Cup teams.
In my time at Vessev, we’ve gone from a team of four boatbuilders working on our first vessel, to more than 10, while the company’s grown to almost 50 people. I love the challenge of being part of such a dynamic team as we build the company – it’s an exciting time to be doing what we’re doing.

Mat Hooper – Product Director
I have spent my life working in aviation and marine, never far from the sea. I started on the tools as a technician and followed my passion for innovation to a role in product management, where you can create new technology to solve old problems.
My career has allowed me to travel the world experiencing what boating means to so many people and communities, and this is why I joined Vessev. It's a company where there is a true desire to help protect and sustain the ocean by using technology to be smarter and more efficient with the resources we have.

Britt Mann – Communications Lead
I've been a storyteller for my whole career, first in journalism, then in PR. The stories don’t get much better than at Vessev, whether they're about the business, the technology, or the people, and I feel lucky to get to tell them.
This is a place where everyone is at the top of their game; we choose to be here because we’re creating something extraordinary. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?

Jack Rush – Graduate Embedded Systems Engineer
I love making tangible things happen in the real world with code, and at Vessev, that's exactly what I'm doing. I've been obsessed with marine technology from a very young age. I filled pages and pages of drawing pads and books with boat designs and was constantly asking my dad to take me out on the water.
My role at Vessev is my definition of a perfect job. Working on pioneering marine EV technology, in my favourite engineering field, with an incredibly talented and enthusiastic group of people, making the world a better place while we're at it.
